AKB48 to release Maeda Atsuko’s “graduation announcement” on DVD

Maeda Atsuko announced her graduation from AKB48 on the final day of the group’s 3-day concert at Saitama Super Arena, ‘Gyoumurenraku.  Tanomuzo, Katayama Bucho! in Saitama Super Arena‘. Today, on Maeda’s 21st birthday, it was revealed that this concert will be released on DVD!
The 3-day concert at Saitama Super Arena was held from March 23rd to the 25th featuring the girls of AKB48 and their sister groups SKE48, NMB48, HKT48, JKT48, and SDN48. On the 1st night, the girls surprised their fans by announcing their concert at Tokyo Dome, and performed “Gugutasu no Sora” for the very first time. Then on the 2nd night, it was reported that SKE48’s Matsui Jurina and NM48’s Watanabe Miyuki would be joining AKB48, as well as the promotion of 4 research students.
After these 2 announcements, many fans speculated something big to happen on the 3rd and final night. The group first announced their ‘27th Single General Elections‘ and agency transfers of the members. Then came Maeda Atsuko’s unexpected graduation announcement.
Footage from all 3 nights will be released in a DVD titled ‘Maeda Atsuko Namida no Sotsugyou Sengen! in Saitama Super Arena ~Gyomu Renraku. Tanomuzo, Katayama Bucho!~‘ on September 5th.
