On June 20th, Sashihara Rino will be holding her final performance with AKB48’s Team A at the AKB48 Theater before her transfer to HKT48. The news was blogged by the AKB48 Theater manager Tagosaki Tomonobu.
Tagosaki wrote, “On June 20th (Team A’s) ‘Mokugekisha’ stage will be held at the AKB48 Theater. The performance was scheduled before the announcement of Sashihara changing groups, so it will go on as planned with Sashihara performing on stage. Many people from far away purchased tickets to this performance and have been sending in their concerns. Once again, we are sorry for causing you all to worry. And in regards to AKB48’s Sashihara Rino, this will be her last Team A performance before joining HKT48.”
Tagosaki also expressed his own feelings regarding the situation, “To be honest, I’m surprised as well. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t sad. But, she is a girl who fights hard during tough times and even though she is going to HKT48 I think that she will still grow a lot. Sashihara is someone who says she doesn’t have self-confidence, so I want to be able to say ‘All of these people came here like this, because they wanted to see Sashihara’s final stage.’”
Furthermore, the performance will be moved up 30 minutes to 6:30pm. This is because more things are expected to take place than the average performance.
Lastly, fellow member Matsubara Natsumi will be celebrating her 22nd birthday at this show as well. It’s curious how a mixture of happiness and sadness will unfold among members and fans alike.
