Maeda Atsuko’s graduation concert to stream on Google+ and YouTube



It’s been announced that Maeda Atsuko’s graduation concert on August 27th at AKB48 Theater in Akihabara will stream live via the group’s Google+ and YouTube accounts! The broadcast will start at 6:00 pm JST, allowing fans from all over the world to join in on this big event.
AKB48 Theater opened back in December of 2005 and it only seats 250 people. Maeda’s graduation concert received 229,066 applications, setting a record high in the theater’s history. Due to the high demand, it was decided that the performance will be streamed live through Google+ and YouTube.
Starting on August 21st, fans will have the opportunity to use their Google+ accounts to send a personal messages to Maeda. When you submit a message via your Google+ account (registration required) with the hashtag “#maeda0827“, a flower petal-shaped confetti printed with your message and profile name will fall onto the stage during the show.
Additionally, using the Google+ event function, AKB48 is collecting photos of fans around the world to create a “graduation album” for Maeda.
