On December 19th, AKB48’s Itano Tomomi attended
a press release event for the color contact lens, ‘candy magic‘, as
their new CM character.
Just the other day, fellow AKB48 member Kasai Tomomi announced her graduation from the groupduring ‘The 2nd
AKB48 Kohaku Taikou Uta Gassen‘. Regarding the announcement, Itano
commented, “It’s something she decided, so I want to support her as a member
and friend.” She continued, “I think she will be okay because she knows
what she wants. I want her to do her best on her own pace.”
Belonging to the same agency, Itano and Kasai formed the
special unit ‘Natto Angel‘ in 2009 and ‘Queen&Elizabeth‘ in
2010. Their two-shot was also posted onto the group’s official blog soon after
Kasai’s graduation announcement.
Itano appeared at the event wearing gray contacts. “I
want to also design an original,” she said with a smile. The CM for ‘candy
magic’ is currently airing nationwide.
