As announced previously, AKB48’s 3-day concert at Saitama Super Arena, which was held from March 23rd to the 25th featuring the girls of AKB48 and their sister groups SKE48, NMB48, HKT48, JKT48, and SDN48, will be released on DVD on September 5th. During the final day of the 3-day concert, Maeda Atsuko (21) announced her graduation.
Titled “Maeda Atsuko Namida no Sotsugyou Sengen! in Saitama Super Arena~Gyoumu Renraku. Tanomuzo, Katayama Bucho!~”, there will be 5 versions for the DVD. A special box (18,900 yen) version will consist of seven DVDs (Disc 1 & 2 for Day 1, Disc 3 & 4 for Day 2, Disc 5 & 6 for Day 3, and Disc 7 for the making-of and special footage, includes a long interview with Maeda). It will also include a 132 page booklet that captures the members behind-the-scenes and during the performances, and an additional 5 photos (randomly chosen among 240 different kinds).
In addition to the special box set, there will also be 3 regular editions which will feature each day of the 3-day concert separately (each day’s package will contain 2 DVDs and cost 5,980 yen per package), as well as a special digest version (only one DVD for 4,980 yen) which will condense the highlights from all 3 days. Maeda commented, “The final day (of the 3-day concert) is an unforgettable day for me. I will be happy if many people take a look at the DVD that is full of various memories.” She will graduate from AKB48 after the group’s performance at the AKB48 theater on August 27th.
