SKE48 to simultaneously release 1st album & 10th single

It’s been announced that SKE48 will simultaneously release their 1st album and 10th single (both currently untitled) on September 19th!
SKE48’s 1st album will contain all title tracks from their debut single “Tsuyoki Mono yo” to their latest “Kataomoi Finally“. It will also include original tracks as well as covers of AKB48’s songs. The CD+DVD version will have a total of 14 tracks, while the CD-Only version will hold 15.
The DVD will feature 63 video clips starring all members of SKE48. This was decided in order for fans to get to know each member’s name, face, and personality. Currently, it’s known that Matsui Jurina (Team S) has been selected for “Glory Days“, Matsui Rena (Team S) for “Kareha no Station“, and Takayanagi Akane (Team KII) for “Omatase Set list“.
Meanwhile, SKE48’s 10th single will be available in 4 different versions. Further details will be revealed at a later date, so stay tuned!

AKB48 to invite 30 viewers to a dinner party in 2013

It was reported on August 1st that AKB48 will be inviting 30 viewers to a dinner party as a special project on their show, “Bimyo~na Tobira AKB48 no Gachi Chare”
“Bimyo~na Tobira Akb48 no Gachi Chare” is a documentary variety program produced by Akimoto Yasushi that started showing on video transmission service, Hikari TV in June. In the program, AKB members take on tough challenges that help them explore new possibilities for themselves. Two members are given a difficult task in each episode and the show documents the process that the members go through to complete the task. The show is broadcast every Friday from 11pm-11.30pm on “Hikari TV Channel 1”
A unique feature of the variety program is that viewers can participate by voting on the result of the challenge on a website set up for the program. Original wallpapers are given to voters who voted correctly on the tasks given to both members in each episode. The said dinner party is a special extension of this feature. Voters who voted correctly will be eligible to participate in a lottery from which thirty people will be randomly selected for the dinner party. Participation is opened until February 1st of 2013 and the dinner party is planned tentatively for March of 2013.

Vote for your favorite AKB song to be made into a Music Video!

it was reported on July 31st that fans will be able to vote for an AKB48 song to be made into a music video (MV), and the #1 song in the poll will be made into a brand new MV.
According to sources from KING RECORDS, only songs released by AKB48 and songs that do not already have an MV are eligible for voting. This includes all coupling songs and songs from their performances but do not includes songs from sister groups such as SKE48 or sub-units such as Watariroukahashiritai 7. A voting card will be included in AKB48’s new album “1830m”, due for release on August 15th. The song that receives the most votes will be then made into a brand new MV.
On July 31st, AKB48 producer Akimoto Yasushi posted an entry on his Google+ account that reads, “It sounds interesting to make a new music video for a song that doesn’t have a music video. In that case, why don’t we decide the song through the fans’ vote?” He added, “When we were talking about this, KING RECORDS offered to put the video into an album as bonus footage. Fans, please ask KING RECORDS for further details. I want to make a music video for ‘Only today’. Which song would you like to see being made into a music video?”
The MV will be included in AKB48’s 29th single which is planned for a December release. Voting will take place from 8/15 10:00am to 9/20 3:00pm (JST).
